Congratulations EDEN!

You are our Question of the Week winner for September 6 – 11!

(to claim your prize, email yoohoowinners[at]gmail[dot]com)

Here’s the next question of the week contest — just answer by commenting on the post or via Twitter (use @yoohoofriends in your tweet!).

QOTW: Due to an increase in copycats, knockoffs, ripoffs and imitators, we’re going to put up a post later this week that helps you determine if your YooHoo & Friends animals are authentic. This leads us to our next question…Have you ever seen a store or online marketplace selling what they call YooHoo & Friends, even though they might not actually be authentic YooHoo & Friends?

Good luck!!

  4. Teresa Says:

No, just ones that look like a YooHoo.

  5. Chris Ryan Says:

lol, besides the one I bought that you told me was a knock-off? lol

  6. Lisa Weber Says:

    No, I really haven’t. 🙂

  7. I’ve seen many toys with huge eyes, but i’m not sure if you call that copycats.. Imitations, so far not yet, and i hope not to see any! Piracy ain’t good especially if the brand is also placed on the pirated object..that’s illegal..

  8. charlotte kirton Says:

    Um..i don’t think so.

  9. Nicky Says:

I just found yoohoo friends at a local store, I bought Sparkee! Since then I have been checking in the stuffed animal sections of other stores and have seen some stuffed animals that look similar to yoohoo friends (with the cute big eyes) but with a different name. I will continue watching out for imposters, while I continue growing my collection of yoohoo and friends!

    • Nicky Says:

I can’t believe this, I think my sparkee is a fake, she doesn’t have a pink belly! I was just looking at some photos of sparkee, the tag was the same and everything! I’m Sooooooooooooooo disappointed! 😦

  10. No dont saw something like this. But i saw Plushies they look like Yoohoos but thei aren’t yoohoos. They had an other Name.

  11. Baby Panda Says:

No I have never seen it, only some which looked like but which had all the same another name. 🙂

  12. Milena Paris Says:

    No I haven’t!

  13. I’ve only ever seen the Beanie Boos (Ty’s knock offs) and I think some other ones that looked like Yoohoos I don’t know the name of them and I don’t want to know. No one can replace the original Yoohoo and friends collection. GO YOOHOO!!!

  14. Sami Says:

I saw something on Ebay advertised as a YooHoo that clearly wasn’t, it wasn’t even TY. But I don’t believe I’ve seen any counterfeits. I only buy them from Claires, Clintons and Hamleys.

  15. Did0 Says:

    I think yes…but i can’ t tell for sure,because i didn’t buy one of those!!!

  16. I’ve seen BeanieBoo’s (TY) on ebay classed as ‘Yoohoo and Friends’ 🙂

  17. jeannine m Says:

No I haven’t but I will be more aware if there are some out there

  18. hayley evans Says:

I think I may have a fake one, I bought it abroad an it doesn’t have the hologram thing on the label. I have also seen a lot of the TY beanie boo’s some of them very similar to the yoohoo and friends collections. Information how to tell a genuine from a fake would be very much appreciated. I only want the best :’)

  19. Marci Says:

Nope, I haven’t seen anything but the real thing!

  20. Ladan Rouzbeh Says:

I have n’t seen yet, but for sure if any of them is not authentic, they won’t be as cute as Yoohoo, since Yoohoo & friends are handmade 🙂

  21. veronika hajdu Says:

No I have never seen an exact or similar copy of Yoohoo & Friends. In any case, if there would be some sort of copy, the original Yoohoo & Friends are and will stay the best, with the cutest animals on earth!

  22. Megan Kelly Says:

yeah I’ve seen a lot of beanie boos that look just like some yoohoos DX
but I have to admit that I have a couple beanie boos but not the ones that look like yoohoos, I’m loyal to yoohoo and friends all the way 😀

  23. Elisabeth Says:

Umm no but I think Beanie Boos and the Ty big eyes stuffed animals are so much uglier than yoohoos… yoohoos are number one!!!

  24. Lovisa Says:

No I have not but I’ll check carefully next time! so incredibly cruel to copy!

  25. BEANIE BOOS MADE A MONKEY THAT LOOKS LIKE YOOHOO SAME DESIGN BUT IN MONKEY FORM SAME COLOR FUR GREY ON ITS FACE BLUE ON ITS EYES AND TAILS

  26. Mandy G Says:

I don’t think I have seen a fake one in a store myself. I recently bought my first one, lemmee the lemur, but he doesn’t make a sound, is only like 2-3 inches, and came in a super adorable little tie-dye purse =) the tag looks authentic though, has both yoohoo and friends logo and the aurora red box logo. I want to go see if I can find the pammee one this weekend and buy her if I do =) she reminds me of a book my mom read me when i was little with a fennec fox in it.

  27. eden Says:

    ye the ty yoohoos

  28. hope Says:

YEAH I WAS AT WALGREENS IN OHIO AND THEY CALLED THE TOY I THOUGHT WAS A YOOHOO AND FRIEND A YOOHOO AND FRIEND BUT WHEN I HAD GOT HOME I LOOKED AT THE TAG AND IT SAID”TY BEANIE BOOS” AND I WAS FURIOUS! SO I WENT BACK AND ASKED FOR A REFUND AND THEY SAID NO SO I NEVER WENT TO THAT WALGREEN`S AGIAN AND I EVENHAD THE RECIPT TOO,AND THEY STILL SAID NO! WALGREENS SUCKS AND SO DOES TY TOYS BEANIE BOO`S!!!!!!! THEY CAN ALL KISS MY LAST NAME!

  29. Lunachique Says:

I’ve never heard of such a thing! How completely awful!

  30. Jessi Valenti Says:

I’ve seen some toys that are fluffy with big eyes, but no full-on copy attempts. I wanted to say that even if someone tried to copy YooHoo & Friends they could never capture the pure cuddly goodness and glossy eyed deliciousness that is the genuine YooHoo & Friends! I bought two today actually – the Polar Bear Paola and the Tiger Timba! Adorable.

  31. Hermia Do Says:

I’ve never seen people call the imitation yoo hoos ” Yoo Hoos and Friends” however, they are called beanie boos. However, my local Hallmark sold A wonderful variety of YooHoo and Friends, but after a month, they switched from selling YooHoo and Friends and began selling “Beanie Boos” 😦

  32. Noreen Says:

No I have never noticed any copycats

  33. Sylvia Puccio Says:

I’ve seen beaine boos (Ty knock offs) and on eBay or Amazon maybe ….

  34. Kristine Nelson Says:

    Just the Beanie Boos.

  35. Shon Lee Says:

I’ve seen yoohoo & friends merchanise on ebay before too but I cannot tell if they are authentic cos they are just images. I find it better to go to the shop , take a good look at the plushie to check its quality before purchase 🙂

  36. andyl6400 Says:

No. Never. But my duaghter has mistaken beanie babies for yoo hoos. But I explained the difference.

  37. Mandy G Says:

re-entering… but changing my answer to possibly seeing a fake one on some toy sites, as I was checking out pammee and some websites have her with a black nose and ears sewed on differently, so I’m pretty sure it’s not real because pammee has a pink nose and nicer ears..

  38. Janessa Chong Says:

I don’t think I have yet. because yoohoo and friends are very hard to get here >.<

  39. Diana Tran Says:

I haven’t seen fakes being called “Yoohoos”. Although I’ve seen similar plush called ” Beanie Boos” Nonetheless, I only buy the best: YooHoo and Friends For the win! ^_^
